KEBICK, Thomas Stevens-
With profound sadness, we announce the passing of our beloved father, Thomas, on Monday, April 28, 2025, in his 96th year.
Son of Michael and Florence (Ivy) Kebick (Barton), Hamilton, Ontario, born February 13, 1930
and predeceased by his 15 brothers and sisters.
Devoted husband of the late Ruth (Hornsby). Loving father to Darcy (John), Karina (late Guy), David, Joline (Paul) and Jonathan (Maryam). Proud grandfather to 14 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandson. Brother-in-law of Joy (late Donald) Edwards and Karen (late Dave) McCall.
Tom began and ended life as a kind and generous man devoted to serving others. To help his
mother and large family, Tom started working early in life as a baker's assistant at Mammy's
Bakery at age 10. Years later, in support of his wife and children, Tom worked for Silverwood
Dairies as a milkman and spent 30 years as a truck driver at TNT Overland Express, where he
was referred to by his radio handle "The Preacher" and was known for his endless smile and
quirky jokes.
Tom's dedication to service extended beyond family. He was a fervent missionary and member
of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints for over 65 years, faithfully serving two
missions on the Church's Welfare Farm. There, you would find him happily whistling or singing
a tune while pruning trees and sharing the gospel. Beyond his passion for people and music, Tom loved golf and the Blue Jays and was always open for a game of pool or cribbage.
Our family would like to thank the Macassa Lodge C2 East staff for their compassionate care,
love and respect.
Friends are welcome to visit Sunday, May 4, from 7-9 pm at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 345 Hwy 8, Stoney Creek. The funeral will be held in the Chapel on Monday, May 5th at 11:00 am with interment at Mountview Garden Cemetery, Stoney Creek
