REID, Susan Jean (nee Dorscht) March 25, 1950 – February 21, 2019. Passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, February 21, 2019 in her 69 th. year after a brief but courageous battle with cancer. Beloved wife to Robert (Bob) Reid for almost 48 years. Loving mother to Kelly (Dwayne) Deneka and Jamie (Katie) Reid. Loving and supportive grandmother to Jaiden & Julia Deneka and Brooklyn and Evan Reid. Survived by her father Russell Dorscht, sisters Kathy (Gary) Wagner, Marilyn (Joe) Belanger, Lori (Jim) Weber and brother Kevin (Tricia) Dorscht. Sisters and brothers in-law; Pat (Ken) Snider, Jack Reid, Judy (Brian) Orser, Joanne Reid, Sally (Jim) Wilhelm and many nieces and nephews and cousins. Predeceased by her mother Eleanor Dorscht (2003), brother Brian Dorscht, nephew Robert Wagner, brothers-in-law William and Dennis Reid and In-laws William and Selma Reid. Susan was an active member in the Community, volunteering for the Wellesley Lions Club (Past President), Apple Butter & Cheese Festival, Christmas Tyme Parade and many more. She was a devoted member of the First St. Paul's Lutheran Church where she served as Choir Director. Susan loved singing and was a member of the Chord Spinners Barbershop Chorus for over 30 years. She will be greatly missed by all her family and friends. Friends may visit with the family at First St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 3620 Nafziger Road, Wellesley on Sunday from 7-9 p.m. and Monday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral services will be held in the church on Tuesday, February 26, 2019 at 11 a.m. Pastor Andy Schroth officiating. Spring interment in the church cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Wellesley Lions Christmas Tree of Light or the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated by the family.
