GERBER, Stanley Emmanuel-Peacefully at the Stratford Rotary Hospice, Stratford, on Tuesday, August 1, 2023. Stanley of Brunner was in his 79th year. Beloved husband of 55 years to Erma (nee Roes). Loving father of Kevin (Sandra), Steve (Sharon), Debbie (Delford Kuepfer), Judy (Steve Cressman) and Tom (Sharon). Dear grandpa of 19 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Stanley will be sadly missed by his siblings; Enos Gerber (Reta), Amy (Melvin Kuepfer), Nick Gerber (Emma), Shirley (Larry Gerber) and David Gerber (Marilyn) as well as his brother-in law Melvin Roes (Marietta). Predeceased by his parents Emmanuel W. Gerber and Elizabeth (nee Steckley), his brothers and sisters; Marie (Ivan Jantzi), Kathryn (Willis Kuepfer), Arthur Gerber (Laurene), Margaret (Raymond Wagler) Gordon Gerber and his sisters and brothers-in law; Ruth (Sam Albrecht) and Laurene (Arthur Gerber). Stanley was a longtime member of Faith Mennonite Church. Friends may visit with the family on Friday from 6-8 p.m. and Saturday from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at Faith Mennonite Church, 1533 Chalmers Forrest Road, Wellesley where the funeral service will be held on Sunday, August 6, 2023, at 2 p.m. Interment to follow in the church cemetery. If desired, donations to the Stratford Rotary Hospice or Peaceful Meadow Retirement Residence, Brunner would be appreciated. A special thank you to the wonderful staff at The Stratford Rotary Hospice, for their compassionate care of Dad (and Mom.) A thank you to the Faith Ministry for taking the time to visit them and pray for our family, to Dianne Bauman for providing care for Dad last weekend, and to the many visitors who came from far and near to brighten his day. To all the neighbors that visited, dropped off food and treats and even delivered the mail, it's been a hard week for the Brunner community, but your caring over the last 4 weeks is so much appreciated.
We pray God will bless each one of you abundantly for the kindness and caring you have shown our family It was the many prayers offered on our behalf that helped us walk this very difficult journey.
