LEIS, Sarah-Peacefully at Trinity Village, Kitchener, surrounded by family, on Sunday, June 12, 2016, Sarah (nee Gerber) formerly of Nithview Community, New Hamburg and Wellesley in her 99th year. Beloved wife of the late Ralph (1995). Loving mother of Doris (Mike Braun) of Waterloo, Shirley (Bill Hosea) of Kitchener and Doreen (Laverne Erb) of Millbank. Dear grandmother of 10 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. She will be sadly missed by her sister-in law Mary Gerber of Brunner and by her brother-in law Mervin Leis (Lois) of Wellesley. Sarah was the last surviving member of her family, having been predeceased by her parents Soloman Gerber and Laura (Leis), her 6 brothers, 5 sisters and her grandson James Michael Braun (1972). Sarah was an avid gardener, quilter, enjoyed crochet and volunteered at Nithview Homes and the New Hamburg Thrift Store. Special thank you to the staff at Trinity Village for their exceptional care over the last four months. Friends may call at Maple View Mennonite Church, 5074 Deborah Glaister Line, Wellesley, on Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral services will be held in the church on Wednesday, June 15, 2016 at 11 a.m. Interment in the church cemetery.
