ABELL, Robert C.-At Grand River Hospital, Kitchener, surrounded by family on Wednesday, March 8, 2017, Bob of Wellesley in his 82nd year. Beloved husband of Marion (nee Wightman). Loving father of Bob and his wife Carmen, Betty Anne and her husband Randy Woods, Brian, Heather and her husband David Ellingwood and Paul and his wife Jenny. He will be sadly missed by his grandchildren Emily, Katie, Meghan, Twila, Annemarie, Graham, Aubary, Kiara, Maine, Erik, Vicktoria, his niece Bonnie, nephew Tim, brother-in law Ken Wightman and his wife Judy. Predeceased by his parents Harry Abell and Lydia Oestreicher, brother Paul and sister Ruth Collard. Bob served with the R.C.A.F. as a radio technician and was a retired insurance claims adjuster. He had a passion as a Ham Radio operator with the call letters VE3XM. The family has many cherished memories of the numerous camping trips across Canada. Friends may visit with the family on Saturday, March 11, 2017 at First St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 3620 Nafziger Road, Wellesley from 10 a.m. till time of Memorial Service at 11 a.m. Pastor Andy Schroth officiating.
