BAUMAN, Ornan-Passed away suddenly in his 82nd year, on Saturday, March 22, 2025, at St. Mary's Hospital Kitchener as a result of a heart attack. Beloved husband of Ethel (nee Drudge) who were married for almost 60 years. Loving father of Karen (Eldon Falb) of Columbiana, Ohio, Richard (Bonnie) of Drayton, Stuart (Cheryl) of Salem, Ohio, Charles (Carolyn) of Wellesley, Michael (Gloria) of Glen Allan, Calvin (Luanne) of Listowel, Susan (Tony Grove) of Baden and Stanley (Sheri) of Palmerston. Dear grandfather of 44 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren. He will be sadly missed by his brothers and sisters; Elverne Bauman, Paul Bauman (Wilma), Grace Weber, Clarence Bauman (Vera), Anna Mary Martin (Timothy) and brother-in law John Drudge (Elizabeth). Predeceased by his parents Urias H. Bauman and Hannah (nee Martin), brother Lester Bauman (Viola) and brother-in law Wayne Weber. Ornan accepted Christ in his youth and served faithfully in the ministry for 55 years and was a member at New Hamburg Conservative Mennonite Church. Dad touched a lot of lives through his ministry, locally and abroad. He was a retired employee of Bauman Manufacturing for 40+ years of service in fabrication and sales. In retirement he was the sole caregiver for Ethel and he also took up knitting, making hats and scarves for Christian Aid Ministries. Friends may visit with the family on Tuesday from 1-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at Woodlawn Mennonite Fellowship Church, 6449 Wellington Road 11, Dorking. The funeral service will also be held at Woodlawn on Wednesday, March 26, 2025, at 1 p.m. Interment to follow at Hollen Cemetery, Hollen. In lieu of flowers, donations to C.A.M. would be appreciated.
