LEIS, Nelson Edward-Peacefully at Caressant Care, Listowel, on Friday, October 16, 2015, Nelson in his 96th year. Beloved husband of the late Mary Edith (nee Gerber) in 1998. Son of the late Peter and Veronica Leis. Loving father of Earl (Elaine) of Milverton and Carol (Ken Shoemaker) of Palmerston. Dear grandpa of Paul Leis (M.J.), Julia Leis (Jamie Kropf), Terri-Lynn and Destiny Shoemaker. Great-grandpa of Sheldon, Tristan, Adrianna Leis, Zander, Savanna, Lillian, Nevaeh, Sasha and Nolan Kropf. He will be sadly missed by his brother Mervin Leis (Lois) of Wellesley, foster brother Joe Scott (Loraine) of Wellesley. . Brother in-law to; Sarah Leis of New Hamburg, Elmer Gerber (Judy) of Creston B.C., and Christine Wilby (Mark) of Kitchener. Predeceased by his brother Ralph in 1995, sisters in-law Mary Gerber, Viola Streicher and brother in-law Lorne Streicher. Friends may call at Faith Mennonite Church, 1533 Chalmers-Forrest Road, Kingwood on Sunday from 7-9 p.m. and Monday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral services will be held in the church on Tuesday, October 20, 2015 at 1 p.m. Interment to follow at Maple View Mennonite Cemetery.
