STROH, Mervyn V.-Peacefully with family by his side at Hillside Manor in Sebringville, on Thursday, May 19, 2016. Mervyn, formerly of Wellesley in his 92nd year. Beloved husband of Beatrice Grace (nee McMillan) of Stratford. Loving father of Connie (Gerald Seyler) of Hampstead and Janet Stroh of Toronto. Dear grandfather of Ian Seyler and Derek Seyler. Great-grandpa to Sébastien, Charlotte, Jean-Christophe and Pierre-Luc. He will be sadly missed by his sister Norma Bauman of Waterloo, brother Albert Stroh (Violet) of Wellesley, by Caroline Seyler as well as many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Emil Stroh and Tena (nee Merlau), his brother Harry (late Eileen), sister Marie Stroh and brother-in law Robert Bauman. Mervyn served in the Royal Canadian Air Force during World War Two and was stationed in England and Germany. He retired from J.M. Schneider after 41 years of service. As well, he served on the Wellesley Volunteer Fire Department for 42 years. He was a lifelong member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Wellesley. The family will visit with friends at St. Mark's Lutheran Church, 1123 Henry Street, Wellesley on Friday, May 27, 2016 from 10 a.m. till time of the Celebration of Life at 11 a.m. Pastor David Hammer officiating. Interment will follow at a later date. Donations to St. Mark's Church or the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
