SCHUIT, Mary. We regretfully announce that Mary W Schuit has passed away on Sunday, September 18, 2022, after a brief battle with cancer. Mary was born on April 2, 1953 in Ontario, grew up in Holland, and returned to Canada when she was 15. Mary worked as a hairstylist for much of her life and then took on a second career as a PSW when she was 51. She loved traveling and camping with family and friends. Mary always had a flower and vegetable garden at every place she lived. Mary was a woman of faith and had a helping heart. She touched people wherever she went and will be remembered by her many friends that loved her so dearly. Mary is preceded by husband Jim Schuit (2016), her brother Gary Vandenbrink, and her parents Steven and Evelyn Vandenbrink. She will be lovingly missed by her children: Leanne & Mark Hawkins, Emily & Jeff Cressman, Dan & Jasper Vandenbrink, and Michelle Schuit; her 10 grandchildren: Nathan, Sarah, Abigail, Hannah Hawkins, Josiah, Zachery, Owen, Lucas Cressman, Walter & Elliott Vandenbrink; her siblings: Henny & Rick Fintelmen, Steve & Karen Vandenbrink, Evelyn & Bill Menkveld, John & Carol Ann Vandenbrink, Joanne & Frank Fousert. Along with many nieces and nephews and her beloved dog Jaxson. Friends many call at the FUTHER-FRANKLIN FUNERAL HOME, 1172 Henry Street Wellesley on Sunday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. A funeral service will be held at Maple View Mennonite Church, 5074 Deborah Glaister Line, Wellesley on Monday, September 26, 2022, at 10:30 a.m. Pastor Mark Hawkins officiating Interment to follow at Woodland Cemetery in Mitchell. Donations to Mary's favourite charity "Haiti: Education, Food Security and Community Mobilization" would be appreciated by the family.
