Lori Ann Vollmer, age 61, passed away peacefully at Grand River Hospital on Thursday, May 11th, 2023. Lori was born on October 22, 1961, in Orilla Ontario, Daughter of Sylvia Williams and the late Donald Ball, and became the beloved older sister to Patti Chapman (Carl) and Peter Ball. Lori was raised in Mitchell and spent childhood summers in Bala Ontario. She had a very successful career working as a sales representative for Better Beef Ltd/Cargill. She married Tom Vollmer in 1996, after buying a farm in West Luther Township and blending their two families. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, quilting, painting, and spending time with her grandchildren. Lori leaves behind her children; Jennifer Luckhardt (Paul Israel), Daniel Kramp (Erin Lloyd), Billy Joe Semple (Matt), and Benjamin Vollmer. She will be greatly missed by her Grandchildren, Payton, Milena, Rowen and Elsie. Cremation has taken place. A private family memorial service will be held at the Futher-Franklin Funeral Home with Pastor David Hammer officiating on Tuesday, May 16, 2023, at 2 p.m. The memorial service will be live streamed on the funeral home Facebook page. If desired, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
