WEST, Lloyd - Passed away suddenly on Friday, March 28, 2025, at age 79. Beloved husband of Susan (nee Cross). Loving father of Jennifer (Glenn Burton) and Kirsten. Dear grandfather of Madeline Burton (Alex Medina), Elise Burton, Dallin Burton, and Benjamin Peetz.

He will be sadly missed by his sisters Joyce Framm and Janice Bishop, sister-in-law Frances Patrick and brother-in-law Cordell Bishop.

Predeceased by his parents Alfred West Jr. and Greta May Stilwell, sister Fay, brother Jackie, brother Gerald, brother Gary, and sister Sharon Copeland (Gary).

Lloyd retired in 1988 after 26 years in the Royal Canadian Navy where he served as a Petty Officer First Class Shipwright. After retirement he enjoyed working in maintenance and he spent 25 years working part-time at Canadian Tire until shortly before he passed away. He was one of the store's biggest fans and loved working there.

His favourite activities were spending time with his grandchildren and puttering around outside. He also enjoyed fishing, golfing, and cheering on the Toronto Blue Jays, Hamilton Tiger-Cats, and Detroit Red Wings.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Royal Canadian Naval Benevolent Fund or the Canadian Cancer Society.
