BISSONNETTE, LIONEL-Unexpectedly but peacefully after an almost eight year battle with dementia, caused by a stroke, and only days before his eighty-eighth birthday Lionel Henri Bissonnette died at Queen's Garden on Wednesday December 09, 2015. He was predeceased by his wife Jeanette Denault in 1970 and by his special friend of twenty-five years Patsy Pealy. He was the last surviving sibling of seven children who lived in Quebec, Prescott and Hamilton. He is survived by his daughters Suzanne Hughes (Neil), Doreen Gillespie (Jamie), his grandchildren, Anjeanette, Jodi, Cara, Joseph, William, Dea, Jessie and one great grandson, Jacob. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews in Hamilton and Quebec. As per his wishes there was no visitation and a private Mass for the immediate family was held at Église de Notre-Dame-du-Perpetuel-Secours with interment in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery on Thursday December 17, 2015.
