ROTH, Kenneth-After a short illness with family by his side, on Sunday, December 1, 2013 at his home in Poole. Ken in his 90th year. Beloved husband of 35 years to Irene (nee Grenfell) and predeceased by his first wife Fern (nee White). Loving father of Sharon (Jeff Gerber), Sandra (Richard Garstin), Patricia (John Beaver) and predeceased by his daughter Wendy Brenner (2008) and by his infant son Alvin George. Will be sadly missed by 17 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren, his step-children; James Kell (Shirley), Patricia Kell and friend Jim Rowe, sisters; June McGregor, Joyce Wagler, Eileen (Ron Graham), Jean (Ray Jones), brother; Larry Roth and his friend Nancy and brother in-law; David Grenfell (Debbie). Predeceased by his parents Alvin Roth and Ruby (nee Jacobs), brother; Lloyd "Mike" and step-son Billy Kell (the late Donna). Ken was a Charter member of the Mornington Optimist for 25 years, a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 595 Milverton. Gardening was his passion and enjoyed playing baseball, hockey and curling till the age of 82. He was a retired employee of International Stock Food. Friends may call at the FUTHER-FRANKLIN FUNERAL HOME, 1172 Henry Street, Wellesley on Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral Services will be held at Wellesley Mennonite Church, 157 David Street, Wellesley on Wednesday, December 4, 2013 at 2 p.m. Reverend Krista Vandersar officiating. Interment to follow at Hampstead Cemetery. Donations to the V.O.N., Cancer Society or Hampstead United Church would be appreciated.
