ZEHR, Joseph N.
Joseph Nicholas Zehr passed away peacefully at Knollcrest Lodge in Milverton, on Friday, January 13, 2023, in his 86th year. He was a faithful member of the Bethel Conservative Mennonite Church.
Joe was born on August 14, 1937, at Crosshill and was the beloved husband of Deborah (Wagler) Zehr whom he married on October 22, 1958. Cherished father of Paul and Karen (Martin) Zehr of Bayfield, David and Barbara (Gascho) Zehr of Millbank, Peter and Janice (Lichti) Zehr of Durham, Nova Scotia, Tim and Charlotte (Gascho) Zehr of Millbank, Yvonne and Lowell Biehn of Milverton, Barb and Richard Wagler of Millbank and Christine Wagler of Milverton and is survived by 45 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren.
He is also survived by brothers and sisters-in-law Vera Dyck, Viola Wagler, Roy Scheerer and Florence (Anders) Bergsma.
Predeceased by his parents Amos and Nancy (Steckley) Zehr, granddaughter Melissa Zehr, son-in-law Tim Wagler, brother Mervin & Erma Zehr and sister Katherine & Cornelius Erb, brothers and sisters-in-law Dan & Mary Wagler, Marie & Earl Bender, John Dyck, Omar Wagler, Edna & Elmer Ropp, Esther (Wagler) Scheerer, Norman & Esther Wagler and Eileen Wagler.
Friends and relatives are invited to the Donegal Mennonite Church, 7021 Perth Road 147, Listowel for visitation on Tuesday, 6-8 PM and Wednesday 2-4 and 6-8 PM.
The funeral service will be held at the Faith Mennonite Church, 1533 Chalmers Forrest Rd., Wellesley on Thursday, January 19, 2023, at 2:00 PM with the ministry of the Bethel Conservative Mennonite Church officiating. Interment to follow in the cemetery at Bethel Conservative Mennonite Church.
In lieu of flowers, donations given to Master's International Ministries(Ukraine) or Knollcrest Lodge would be appreciated.
