ROES, Ivan-At his home in Millbank on Friday, February 7, 2025, in his 85th year. Beloved husband of Reta (nee Gerber). Loving father of Deb Guthrie, Darrell (Angie Koch), Tom (Lynette), Tracey (Doug Bauman) and Scott (Amanda).
Dear grandfather of Alyssa Guthrie (Phil Packham), Toby Guthrie, Brooklynne Guthrie, Joshua Roes, Nicholas Roes, Jacob Bauman (Jade Langford), Samuel Bauman, Leah Bauman, Izzy Bauman, Lucas Roes, Sarah Roes, Jillian Roes, Carrie Roes, Naomi Roes, Alexander Roes, Aubree Roes, Kateryna Roes, Gunnar Roes, Bradley Karson Roes, Tyrell Roes (Emily), Chloe Roes and Ava Roes.
He will be sadly missed by his brother Norman Roes (Sharon), sisters in-law Emmaline Roes, Ann Fowler and brother in-law Delmer Gerber (Margaret).
Predeceased by his parents Sam N. Roes and Mary Gascho, sisters Ethel Poole (Clarence), Erma Albrecht (William), John Roes and Eleanor Roes.
Ivan played baseball and hockey in his youth and continued to enjoy watching the games. He was a dairy farmer in Poole with his brothers until he retired at the age of 77 years.
Friends may call at Maple View Mennonite Church, 5074 Deborah Glaister Line, Wellesley, on Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral services will be held in the church on Wednesday, February 12, 2025, at 11 a.m. Interment to follow in the church cemetery. Pastor Brent Kipfer officiating.
