Kuntz, Irene (Reitzel)
Passed away April 6th in her 93rd year. She was born in 1931 on a farm near Bamberg, ON to Bertha (Hoffarth) and Joachim Reitzel. Irene married Clarence (deceased 1992) and moved to St Clements where she raised ten children. After living in her home for sixty years she moved to Marian Residence in Cambridge where she was given excellent care and later she moved to Williams West (formerly The Westmount) Long Term Care Home and adored the Rosemont staff. Irene was the loving mother of Joe (Pauline), Bill (Chris), Ray (Dolly), Don (Loyia), Laverne (Pam), Rose (Joel), Julia (Reg), Chuck (Karen), Annette (Brian) and Carol (Dave). She was also the loving grandmother and GG to many. Remembered by her dear friend RuthAnn. Irene is predeceased by her daughter in law Denise and by great-grandson Taylor.
Irene made it her mission to help people throughout her life. Irene was a member of the Christian Mother's association for many years. She could be seen tidying up her neighbourhood, reading to the blind or helping an elderly friend.
A visitation will be held Friday, April 12, 2024, from 2-4pm and 7-9pm at Futher-Franklin Funeral home 1172 Henry Street, Wellesley, ON. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Clement Roman Catholic Church, 3639 Lobsinger Line, St. Clements, on Saturday, April 13, 2024 at 12 noon. Followed by burial at St. Clements cemetery. Donations may be made to The Alzheimer's Society or St. Clement Catholic Church, 3639 Lobsinger Line, St. Clements, ON N0B 2M0 or the charity of one's choice.
