JANSEN, HULDA CECILIA (nee Erling) May 8, 1921 – August 2, 2014-Hulda Jansen passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 2, 2014, at Westmount Long Term Care, Kitchener, ON, at the age of 93 years. Hulda was born in Kristinstad, Finland and immigrated to Canada through Ellis Island, New York, at a very young age. The family made their home in St. Catharines, ON. Hulda will be sadly missed by her family; she was a very loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Left to mourn her passing and to await their reunion with her again, in heaven: her son Stuart and his wife Marilyn, four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren—Wayne (Monika), Tyler, Megan; Brad (Z'Anne), Luke, Ethan; Maureen, Sam Mueller; Pam (John) VanDerLaan; one brother Don Erling (Loretta); many nieces, nephews and many, many loving friends. She was predeceased by her husband Orval Jansen; her parents, Henry & Aina Erling and her brothers, Ernest and Emil. Thank you to the staff and Dr. Carothers at Westmount Long Term Care for their kind, loving care of our mother. In lieu of flowers, donations would be greatly appreciated to Lutheran Association of Missionaries and Pilots, 4966 92 Ave., Edmonton, AB T6B 2V4, or to a charity of your choice. A Memorial Service will be held at St. Mark's Lutheran Church, Wellesley, ON, on Tuesday, August 19th, 2014, 11:00 am, with Pastor Dave Hammer officiating. Interment will be in St. Mark's Cemetery prior to the service.
