STROH, Henry (Harry) Conrad-Died peacefully at Columbia Forest LTC in Waterloo with family at his side on Sunday November 29, 2015. Born on May 10, 1921 in the same house he lived in, in Wellesley, until the last 2 months of his life. "Not everyone gets to live this long, you can't live forever" were his well-known words lately. Harry was a dairy farmer & delivered milk in Wellesley. He was a member of the volunteer Wellesley Fire Department for 30 years & was Fire Chief when he retired from the Department. He was a lifelong member of St. Mark's Evangelical Lutheran Church and served on Church Council, and also was a member of the Wellesley Board of Trade. Beloved husband of the late Eileen Pehlke (2002). Loving father of Deb (Rick) Boerner of Elmira, Don, Sandy (Ron) Bast & Bob all of Wellesley. Grandfather of Tonia Boerner (John Janzen) of Elmira, Nicole (Jake) Hirst of Vancouver, BC, Lynn (Darryl) Eidt of Carlingford, Dale (Danielle) Bast of Martensville, SK & Kevin (Samantha) Bast of Wellesley. Great-Grandfather of Emily Hirst & step Great-Grandfather of Curtis, Josh & Alyssa Eidt. Survived by brothers Mervyn (Beatrice) Stroh & Albert (Violet) Stroh, sister Norma Bauman, also brothers & sisters-in-law Jack Pehlke, Ken (Rosemary) Pehlke, Betty, Beth, & Leola Pehlke & Shirley Strong. Remembered by many nieces & nephews & his godchildren. Predeceased by his parents Emil & Tena (Merlau) Stroh, sister Marie Stroh & brothers & sisters-in-law Bob Bauman, Carl, Elmer, Norm, Lloyd & Eleanor Pehlke, Andy & Edna Crawford, Luella Holman, Harold & Emmaline Krueger, Jack & Helen Strong. At Dad's request there will be no visitation, cremation has already taken place. A Memorial Service will be held at St. Mark's Lutheran Church, Henry St. Wellesley on Friday December 4, 2015 at 11:00 am with Pastor Dave Hammer officiating, followed by a reception. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to St. Mark's Lutheran Church Building Fund or a charity or one's choice. A special thank you to all the care provided to Dad these past 2 months from his PSW's from Care Partners, & the staff at Village Manor, Columbia Forest Home & the hospitals.
