Peacefully at her home on Friday, December 24, 2021, Helen Elizabeth Cook (Smart) of Nithburg in her 76th year after a courageous battle with Cancer.  Cherished mother and mother in-law of Sandra Thedorff (Dale), Bill Cook (Monica), Robert Cook and Stephanie Rose (John). Proud Grandma of Michael Thedorff (Alyssa McKone), Steven Thedorff (Sarah Graul), Gregory Cook (Rachael Smith), Braedon Cook (Marissa), Myles Wilson, Courtney Rose (Dryden DeFranseco) and Tyler Rose.   Excited and proud great Grandma to Abby Smith, Aubrey Cook and Emmalyn Thedorff McKone.

Survived by her sister Sandra Lewis (David) of Winnipeg and sisters in-law Ruth Smart and Jean Cook.

Predeceased by husband Ross Cook (January 2021), parents Frank and Dorothea Smart, brother Keith Smart, sister Audrey Whaling and her in-laws Cossie and Minnie Cook and brothers in-law Roy, John, Morris (Jean), Stewart, Ken, Norman (Anna) and sisters in-law Florence McTavish (Stewart) and Pearl Cook.

The simplest things in life brought great joy to Helen. She loved spending time with her family and  friends. Her weekly coffee dates with her dear friend Susan Green were always the highlight of her week.   As per Helen's request a Celebration of Life will be held in the Spring.
