MOHR, Harold Alfred-August 1934-March 2023-Peacefully in his sleep on Thursday, March 9, 2023, at People Care, Tavistock in his 89th year. Harold was the last surviving member of his immediate family. He was predeceased by his parents Herbert Mohr and Mary (nee Becker), sisters Verna (Herbert) Hackbart, Geraldine (Stuart) Helmuth and Almeda in infancy, his in-laws; Gustav and Edith Friske, Elma (Henry) Turuk, Ludwig (Violet) Friske, Clarence Friske, Clarence Dittmer and Valentine Jabusch. He is survived by his wife Leona, whom he married in 1959 in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, by his son Dale as well as many nieces, nephews and his in-laws; Bennie (Rose) Friske, Charles (Delores) Friske, Ruth (Wayne) Bowes, Thelma Dittmer and Connie Jabusch. Harold lived almost all his life in North Easthope Township except in the 1950's when he worked for National Grain Elevators out west. He took over his father's farm in 1965. He did mixed farming of cows, pigs, grain and a few chickens. He Also worked as a carpenter, cutting wood, making maple syrup. He always needed something to do. He enjoyed fishing, playing horseshoes, playing cards and travelling across Canada and most of the USA and enjoyed Alaska the most. Harold made twirlers that blow in the wind out of wood, fan blades and bicycle wheels. He will be missed by all who knew him and now he can rest and not be on the go anymore. As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Alzheimer's Society or a charity of choice would be appreciated by the family. At Harold's request, cremation has taken place.
