GILMORE, Harold "Leroy" November 15, 1931 – October 24 2022
Passed peacefully on Monday evening. Predeceased by his Wife Marion Alice Gilmore of 65 years leaving behind his 3 children and spouses Douglas and Kathleen (Roman) of Kitchener, David and Marianne (deLeeuw) of Owen Sound and Lori and John Yates of Calgary. His 4 Grandchildren - Jennifer, Kate and Riley Damen, Anne and Ryan Walsh, Lindsay and Kurtis Arsenault and his 5 Great Grandchildren Dexter, Briella, Landon, Alice and Sophie. Predeceased by his Brother Raymond and Sister Dorothy Rush.
Leroy was a devoted Husband, Father, Grandfather, and Great Grandfather. He worked for 3M for over 10 years and Diversey for over 25 years. He was a past member of the Wellesley Lion's Club, Canadian Harvard Aircraft Association and Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum. Leroy's greatest joy in life was piloting small aircraft and giving plane rides to friends and family including all his Grandchildren. Another favourite past time was traveling, and especially cruising. The family would like to thank the staff of Forest Heights Long Term Care for their care and concern during his time there. Cremation has taken place and a family Memorial Service will be held at the Futher-Franklin Funeral Home, 1172 Henry Street, Wellesley on Wednesday, November 2, 2022, with Pastor Olaf Poulsen officiating. The interment of ashes will follow at Rush's Cemetery, Wellesley. As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Diabetes Association would be appreciated.
