LUDINGTON, Gordon Donald

-Peacefully surrounded by family on Friday, July 3, 2026, at WRHN @ Queens Blvd., Kitchener. Gordon of Wellesley in his 83rd year. Beloved husband of 61 years to Barbara (nee Gollnitz). Loving father of the late Paul Douglas (in infancy), Michelle Voisin (late Brad) and Michael (Andrea). Dear grandpa of Deana Voisin (Todd), Jacob Voisin (Katie), Madison Ristau, Kelsi Ristau and Nathan Ludington. He will be sadly missed by his brother Ross Ludington, sister Doris Harrow, sisters and brothers in-law Carole Ludington, Judy Ludington, Ray Gollnitz (Mary Conley), Judi Gollnitz, Brenda Rock (Chuck Rundle), Ruby Brunner and many nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by his parents Kenneth and Laura (nee Harrison) Ludington, his mother and father in-law Alvin and Erma Gollnitz, his brothers Fred Ludington (Audrey), Eric Ludington, Alvin Ludington, Keith Ludington (in infancy), sisters and brothers in-law Pauline Ludington, Margaret Ludington, Jim Harrow, Karen Gollnitz (Murray Matheson), Larry Gollnitz, Murray Rock and John Brunner.

Gordon was a retired employee of the Township of Wellesley as the Clerk Treasurer after 25 years of service. He enjoyed travelling to Florida and sporting events with his children and grandchildren. He had spent many Saturday evenings dancing with Barbara at Lakeside Dance Hall. Also, he was an avid Maple Leaf Fan.

Cremation has taken place. Friends are invited to visit with the family on Friday at the Futher-Franklin Funeral Home, 1172 Henry Street, Wellesley, from 6 p.m. till 9 p.m. A funeral service will be held at Wellesley Mennonite Church, 157 David Street, Wellesley on Saturday, July 11, 2026, at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at Lisbon United Cemetery. If desired, donations in Gordon’s memory may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, Zion United Church, New Hamburg or a charity of choice would be appreciated.
