LICHTI, Glenn Albert (Glenn-Excellent Worth)- To our great sorrow, after a heroic and valiant battle, Glenn Lichti, greatly beloved husband, father and grandfather has gone to his Heavenly home on Saturday, April 12, 2025, in his 74th year. Beloved husband of Gloria (nee Roth). Loving father of George (Amy), Greta, Gina, Graham (Adrienne), Grant (Charlene), Grace (Cameron Streicher) Garett (Rebecca) and Garth. Dear grandfather of Joel, Lydia, Abigail, Josiah, Caleb, Levi, Lois, Hannah, Kenden, Hudson, Dietrich, Frazier, Gianna, Kaitrin, Avalon, Leah, Owen, Olivia, Emma and Myles. Glenn will be sadly missed by his mother Emma Lichti (nee Albrecht), brother Gary (Norma), sister Janice (Peter Zehr), sisters and brothers-in law June (Nelson Gerber), Judy (Orval Zehr), Garry Roth and Roderick Roth. Predeceased by his father Albert Lichti and brother Ronnie Lichti.
Glenn was a hardworking man and a faithful provider, spending his life doing what he loved, farming and attending the downtown Kitchener Market for 30 years, where he was well known and loved by customers and vendors alike.
A man of great peace, Glenn was known for his meek spirit, always offering forgiveness instead of retaliation. He was generous and wise, pouring himself out for others, whether that was his family or those he interacted with day to day. He nurtured an environment that allowed his family and friends not only to grow, but to thrive and flourish. He was a safe place for many hurting and lonely people.
Generally, a calm and stoic person, Glenn's one true passion was his sweet Jesus Christ and sharing the truth with others. He lived a life defined by prayer and deeply rooted conviction, spending countless hours in prayer and Bible study, using his passion for truth and talent for public speaking to build up the saints.
Glenn faithfully loved his wife, maintained a deep pride and joy in his sons and daughters and their spouses, and was truly blessed by each one of his dear grandchildren, often to the point of tears. Although we are overjoyed that our Dad and Grandpa is finally free and whole and Home with the Jesus he loves, his passing leaves a deeply tender void in all of our hearts.
Psalm 84:4,5-Blessed are they that dwell in the house: they will be still praising thee. Blessed is the man whose strength is in thee…
