Broege, Gisela Else-Passed away to be with her Lord on the morning of Monday, September 30, 2019 at the age of 90. Born in Wuppertal, Germany she emigrated to Canada in 1956 calling the Kitchener-Waterloo area home. She was a long-time member of Highland Road Baptist Church in Kitchener, serving in many leadership roles in her younger years. She is survived by her four children Cornelia Shibatani with husband David, Roy Steinberg with wife Sherol and Nancy Broege and Michelle Broege with husband Jeremy Leckie and six grandchildren Amy Teplitsky, Jenny Teplitsky, Jamie Steinberg, Alexander Steinberg, Noah Steinberg and Shyla Broege. Special niece Sigrid Schwarz is among many nieces and nephews in Germany. Cremation has taken place. Memorial service to be held at Highland Road Baptist Church, 135 Highland Rd. Kitchener on Thursday, October 17, 2019 at 10 am. Visitation to follow service. Memorial donations may be made to Highland Road Baptist Church or a charity of your choice.
