OLESEN, Erik-Peacefully on Sunday, June 6, 2021, Erik of Brantford in his 85th year. Beloved husband of the late Violet Goyit (2006). Loving father of Robert and Karen Bilton of Paris, the late Gord Bilton and Tim Olesen of Ottawa. Dear grandfather of David Bilton, Heather Pruder, Shaun Bilton, Andrea Weber, Allan Bilton, Dale Bilton, Daniel Bilton, Erik Olesen as well as several great-grandchildren. He will be sadly missed by his brother Aksel Olesen and sister Ingelise Bille both of Denmark as well as many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Kaj Evin Olesen and Inger Hedvig Chistensen. Erik immigrated to Canada in 1965 and married Violet in 1968. He was a skilled machinist and had worked on many ships, travelling the world before he came to Canada. He worked at Massey Ferguson till it closed and retired from Walker Exhaust. He enjoyed reading, CNN, and watching sports on TV. Visiting his great-grandchildren as much as possible brought him great joy. Cremation will take place and interment of ashes at a later date.
