Lantz, Elmer John-Passed away peacefully in his sleep on Wednesday January 19, 2022 at St. Mary's Hospital in Kitchener. Elmer formerly of Wellesley resided at Nithview Home, New Hamburg. Son of the late John and Florence (Wahl) Lantz, he was born 94 years ago on June 21, 1927. Loving husband of Dorothy (Berg) whom he married 73 years ago in 1948. Cherished Father and Father-in-law of Elaine (John) Mohr, Larry (Elsie) Lantz and Paul Lantz. He cherished his 5 grandchildren Krista, Kevin, Jenna, Jason, Kris and 5 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by daughter Joanne 2015 and grandson Jonathan 2012. Elmer will be missed by sisters Violet Luckhardt, Marion Luckhardt, Marjorie and Bruce Coulthard, sister-in-law Esther Hoerle. Predeceased by brothers Floyd and Ruth Lantz, Harold and Mildred Lantz sisters Loretta and John Horst, Doreen and Bill Rose, Shirley and Russel Bigam, Lavern Keller, Mervyn Luckhardt, Bob Luckhardt, in-laws Lloyd Berg, Ruth and Walter Doering and Weybourne Hoerle. Elmer was the original owner and operator of Lantz Farm Equipment from 1949 until his retirement. Elmer was a member of the original Town Council of Wellesley as well as the Board of Trade where he served for many years. He was also a devoted member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church and the Church Council in Wellesley. There will be a private family funeral for Elmer and celebration of his life will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations to St. Marks Lutheran Church or a charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated.
