ELIZABETH CLARK
July 4, 1955 – March 11, 2026
We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Elizabeth Clark (nee Elzbieta Katarzyna Wesolowska) on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, at the age of 70, after a long and hard-fought battle with lung cancer.
Born on July 4, 1955, in Poland, she arrived in Canada in 1976 and settled in Hamilton, Ontario. Although she spent the rest of her life living in Canada, she retained a love of Polish food and culture that she passed onto her children and grandchildren.
Affectionately known as 'Babcia' to her entire family, she leaves a legacy of love and pride for her grandchildren, whom she formed a special bond with early in their lives. In her final days, she expressed that her favourite memories were being together with her 'Sweethearts' on holidays such as Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas.
Those who knew Elizabeth will remember her mischievous sense of humour, welcoming nature and of course, her love of bingo.
Elizabeth is survived by her three children; Andrew, Christopher (Laura) and Nicole (Philip), her beloved grandchildren; Jordan, Adela, Abigayle, Charlotte, Amelia and Nora. She will be remembered by many friends, most notably Renata Szczesniak.
Pre-deceased by her parents, Zygmunt and Adela, as well as her three brothers, Krzysztof, Lech and Ryszard.
As per Babcia's wishes, there will be no service, but her family has gathered in her honour. Cremation has taken place, care of Futher-Franklin Funeral Home Ltd, 1172 Henry Street, Wellesley ON. In expression of sympathy, donations may be made to McMaster Children's Hospital
