ROES, Eleanor Eva-Eleanor died suddenly at her home in Waterloo on Thursday, October 31, 2013. She was born in Ellice Township, Perth County in 1937 and the daughter of the late Sam N. and Mary (Gascho) Roes. She is lovingly remembered by her siblings; Ethel (Clarence) Poole of Brunner, Erma (William) Albrecht of Wellesley, John (Emmaline) Roes of Milverton, Ivan (Reta) Roes of Millbank and Norman (Sharon) Roes of Poole. She was a special aunt to many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and ten great-great nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind many friends-of special mention, Sharon and John Scheerer of Millbank. She had been employed at the Stratford General Hospital and later at Grand River Hospital as a Housekeeping Supervisor. She was a faithful member of Crosshill Mennonite Church. In her retirement years, she enjoyed spending time at Pine Lake Camp, Bayfield. Sports were her passion-golfing, baseball, bowling, horseshoes and skating. Recently, she competed twice playing baseball at the Canadian Senior Summer Games in the Maritimes. Cremation has taken place. Her funeral service will be held at Crosshill Mennonite Church on Monday, November 4, 2013 at 3 p.m. with visitation one hour prior to service. Pastor Julie Ellison White officiating.
