Obituary

BRENNEMAN, Earl-Peacefully on Sunday, November 25, 2018 at Grand River Hospital, Kitchener, with family by his side. Born November 29, 1944. Beloved husband of Marilyn (nee Erb) whom he married September 25, 1971. Loving father of Sherri (Sheldon Gilchrist), Brad (Jenny), Debbie (Justin Bott) and Janice (Jeremy Erb). Cherished grandpa to Noah and Sydney Gilchrist, Hayley, Ethan and Molly Brenneman, Ollie Bott, Ivy and Spencer Erb. He will be sadly missed by his sisters; Vera Lichty (Dan) and Dorothy Lichti (Delmar), brother-in-law of Ken Erb (Elva) and Norma Steinmann as well as many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Daniel Brenneman and Lena Gerber, brother Mahlon (Mel) Brenneman (Cathy) and sisters Annie Ropp (Emanuel), Mary Ellen Jantzi (Jacob), brother-in-law Wayne Steinmann, father and mother-in-law Norman and Amanda Erb. Earl lived and farmed in Wellesley Township all his life. He loved watching hockey, whether it was his grandsons, local junior team or the Leafs. He enjoyed fishing, camping and going to auctions. He was a faithful member of Maple View Mennonite Church. Friends may visit with the family at Maple View Mennonite Church, 5074 Deborah Glaister Line, Wellesley on Tuesday from 7-9 p.m. and Wednesday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral services will be held in the church on Thursday, November 29, 2018 at 11 a.m. followed by interment in the church cemetery. Pastor Brent Kipfer officiating. As an expression of sympathy, donations to M.C.C. or Christian Aid Ministries would be appreciated. Special thanks to all the caring Doctors and Nurses at Grand River Hospital during his short stay.
