AITON, Douglas Lester-Quietly in his home in Burlington with his wife at his side, Doug Aiton in his 93rd year. Loving husband of Joan (nee Holland). He will be sadly missed by children Janet (Larry), Leslie (Gavin), Michael (Karin), Richard (Lian) and by his step-children Tammy (Gary), Michael, Christopher (Clara), Annette (Andris) as well as 21 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. In his teenage years, Doug was a left-handed pitcher for the Jr. Cardinal Baseball team in Hamilton and continued to be a avid Blue Jays supporter. Doug was the former owner of Aiton Heating and was a dedicated member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Burlington. Doug was a compassionate man and served others quietly, often without them even knowing. A graveside service will be held in the Christus Garden at Burlington Memorial Gardens, 3353 Guelph Line, Burlington on Friday, May 26, 2023, with Robert Gilmore officiating.
