Heise, David Larry – Daisy Jean
With great sadness we announce the sudden passing of David-Daisy Larry Heise on July 1, 2024, at St. Mary's Hospital in Kitchener at the age of 59 years. David-Daisy is survived by father Edward Heise and siblings Kevin, Dianne (Ed), and Peter (Su). Predeceased by mother Helen Heise. In recent years, David decided to live as Daisy Jean Heise, in accordance with her felt identity. She enjoyed living independently in Shamrock Co-operative Homes in Waterloo for the past 7 years with supports from Independent Living Waterloo Region and her family. Daisy was a devout Christian and member of the WMB Church in Waterloo, previously a member of First St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Wellesley. Daisy will be dearly missed and remembered for her loving and friendly nature, sense of humour and resilient spirit. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 23, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Futher-Franklin Funeral Home (1172 Henry St. Wellesley). A Celebration of Life Service will also be held on Tuesday, July 23, 2024, at 3:00 p.m. at the WMB Church (Waterloo Site, 245 Lexington Road Waterloo) officiated by Pastor Derek Klumpenhouwer and followed by a time of fellowship and refreshments. As expressions of sympathy, donations to Independent Living Waterloo Region, Traverse Independence or the WMB Church – Waterloo site, would be appreciated.
