DAVIES, David Oliver
August 20, 1938 – February 23, 2025
It is with profound sadness that the family of David announces his passing on Sunday, February 23, 2025, at Regina Gardens long-term care home in his 86th year. Special thanks to the staff at Regina Gardens for their care and compassion.
David was born to Ivor and Myrtle Davies in Hamilton, Ontario. He was the fourth child of twelve. Predeceased by his parents, his first wife Donna, son David (Davey), step-son Todd Stilwell, siblings Ivor, Al, Bill, Cathy, Carol, Dan and Rose, and sister-in law and brother-in law Lynn and Bob Hudson.
David is survived by his current wife of 44 years, Sherrin; their son Jesse, and step-daughter Karen Enthammer (Rick). He also leaves behind his children, Ivor (Cheryl), Laura, and Randy (Jayne) from his first marriage, and his stepchildren, Shelley Wright, Cheryl Anderson, Tim Easlick (Pam), and Terry Easlick (Jeanette) from his second marriage to Sandy, as well as his brothers Jack (Jeanette), Jim (Marie), Ken (Val) and Walt (Bev). He is further survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
David was an electrician with the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 105 until his retirement and also belonged to the Local 105 IBEW Seniors Club. Furthermore, he was a long-standing member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial donation made to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated.
Visitation will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 701 Stone Church Road E., Hamilton between 12 p.m. and 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 1, 2025, followed by the funeral service. Burial will take place at Mount Hamilton Cemetery, 260 Rymal Road East, Hamilton on Monday, March 3, 2025, at 2 p.m. Arrangements entrusted to Futher-Franklin Funeral Home, Wellesley.
