BARBER, David Frank Sr. (b. Toronto) passed unexpectedly in his 94th year. Predeceased by wife Sadie (née Williams, 1999), sons John (2008), David (2012), granddaughter Valerie (2009), brothers Bert (1990), Robert (1986), parents Bert (1976), Mary (1949), grandparents Francis (1959), Lillian (1949). Survived by daughters Mary (Michael) and Cathy (Wayne, 2013), brother Raymond, 17 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren. A Letter Carrier of 32 years in Toronto, Chatham, and Hamilton, he delivered flyers after retirement and came to be beloved by all. He forever rests soundly in our hearts. Friends may visit with the family on Wednesday from 3-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 383 Main Street E. Hamilton (at Emerald St.). The funeral service will be held in the church on Thursday, April 25, 2024 at 11 a.m. followed by interment at Eastlawn Cemetery. Donations in memory of David may be made to a charity of your choice.
