STEINMANN, Elmer "Bruce" – It is with great sadness that the family announces the sudden passing of Bruce at Grand River Hospital, Kitchener, on Monday, December 6, 2021, in his 75th year. Beloved husband of Ruth Steinmann (nee Roth) for over 45 years. Son of the late Bena Lebold and the late Elmer Steinmann. Loving father of Candace (Adam), Chris, Sara Gibson (Josh). Caring and full of humor Papa to Cameron (Samantha), Alyson (Zach), Kaitlyn, Gemini, Alexander and Abigail. Survived by his sister, Marjorie Bender (Ralph) and brothers, Ray (Anna), Harold (Rita), Earl (Eileen), Ervin (Irla). Also survived by his sisters in-law Norma, Anna Maschke, Leola Roth and brothers in-law Sam Roth, Gordon Roth (Carol) and Elaine Cressman. Predeceased by his brother Wayne and sister Rita Cressman (Leonard). Also predeceased by brothers in-law Elmer Roth, Albert Maschke and sisters in-law Mildred V. Roth, Mildred A. Roth and Jean Shultz (Harold) and Marilyn Steinmann. Fondly remembered by his many nieces and nephews. Bruce was an outgoing, and friendly man. Everyone will remember him by his never ending jokes and laughter which filled the room whenever he was present. Friends and family know of Bruce as easy to talk to and a great listener who could spend hours conversing with anyone and everyone. Bruce enjoyed a long career driving truck for Schneider's foods before retiring after over 36 years in the industry. A visitation will be held from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. on Tuesday, December 14, 2021. A funeral will be held on Wednesday, December 15, 2021 2:30 p.m. Both the visitation and funeral will be held at Steinmann Mennonite Church, 1316 Snyder's Rd W, Baden. Pastor Steve Drudge and Pastor Sara Erb officiating. Cremation to follow. PLEASE NOTE: Those attending both the visitation and service, must show proof of double vaccination and identification to enter the church. Contact tracing, masks and social distancing will also be in place. The funeral service will be live streamed, and the link will be placed on Bruce's web page.
