FUTHER, Bill-Peacefully at WRHN @ Midtown, on Saturday, July 11, 2026. Bill Futher of Wellesley was the beloved husband of 59 years to Elayne Futher (nee Lorentz). Loving father of Trevor (Annika), Troy, and Todd. Dear Grandpa of Ty, Hailey, Adam, Cole, Anna, and Jack. He will be sadly missed by his Brother in-law George Lorentz (Lynda) and their children Pam Ringrose, Krista (Mike Bolender), Kory Lorentz (Lisa), Lyndsy Wideman (Dale), Sister in-law Betty Futher and nephews and nieces David Futher (Cindy), Mary Futher (Ian McDougal), Ann Futher (Tom MacNair, Terry Futher and Paul Futher.
Predeceased by his parents Milton “Pat” Futher and Eileen (Moser), brothers Ronald Futher (Carol) and Jerome Futher.
Bill was the former co-owner of the Futher Brothers Funeral Home and Furniture Store in Wellesley. He loved spending time with family and friends at his cottage at Sauble Beach for over 52 years. He loved to travel to classic car shows and show his Monte Carlo. He was a member of the Wellesley Lions Club and in his younger years played baseball and hockey on many Wellesley teams. He enjoyed snowmobiling with his many friends in Wellesley.
Family and friends may call at the Futher-Franklin Funeral Home, 1172 Henry Street, Wellesley, on Wednesday from 7-9 p.m. and Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Parish prayers will be held on Thursday at 9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Clement Roman Catholic Church, 3619 Lobsinger Line, St. Clements, on Friday, July 17, 2026, at 10 a.m. Father Ireneusz Koziak officiating. Interment to follow at St. Clements Catholic Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, donations to the St. Clement Parish Building Fund would be appreciated.
