GERBER, Arthur-Peacefully at the Stratford General Hospital, surrounded by family, on Sunday, November 11, 2018, Arthur Gerber of Wellesley and formerly of Gadshill, in his 80th year. Beloved husband of Laurene (nee Roes) who predeceased him on January 8, 2018. Loving father of Linda and her husband Allan Erb of Wellesley, James and his wife Patricia, Paul and his wife Brenda, Glen and his wife Karen, Timothy and his wife MaryBeth, Ruthann and her husband Larry Wagler all of Gadshill. Dear grandfather of 36 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. He will be sadly missed by his brothers and sisters; Enos Gerber (Reta), Amy Kuepfer (Melvin), Nicholas Gerber (Emma), Stanley Gerber (Erma), Shirley Gerber (Larry), David Gerber (Marilyn) and brothers and sisters-in-law; Ruth Albrecht, Melvin Roes (Marietta), Erma Gerber (Stanley) as well as many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Emmanuel Gerber and Elizabeth Steckley, brother Gordon and sisters Marie Jantzi (Ivan), Kathryn Kuepfer (Willis) and Margaret Wagler (Raymond), brother-in-law Samuel Albrecht and sister-in-law Mary Roes. Arthur faithfully served as Minister and Bishop at Cedar Grove Amish Mennonite Church for over 45 years. Friends may call at the FUTHER-FRANKLIN FUNERAL HOME, 1172 Henry Street Wellesley on Tuesday from 7-9 p.m. and Wednesday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held at Cedar Grove Amish Mennonite Church, 4831 Deborah Glaister Line, Wellesley on Thursday, November 15, 2018 at 1:30 p.m. Interment to follow in the church cemetery. The ministry of Cedar Grove Amish Mennonite Church officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations to Masters International Ministries or Christian Aid Ministries would be appreciated.
