DIETRICH, Raymond Thomas 1963 – 2011-The Toronto Maple Leafs are down one serious fan. Sadly, Raymond passed away too soon on November 17, 2011. His many charms, sunny disposition, warm smile and gentle soul made him easy to love.  And loved he was.  Not only by his large family:  parents Irene and the late Harry, brothers and sisters Anita Stalzer (Albert), Richard (Diane), Ted (Sandra), Susan Braley (Gary), Julie Jamieson (Art), Henry (Val), Bernadette and Elizabeth, his 16 nieces and nephews and 10 great-nieces and -nephews, but also by his extended family who provided him with a happy and loving home in his later years through Elmira District Community Living, especially Rodger, Cheryl, Joan, Laurie, Cindy, Julie, Donna, Andre, Michelle, Jackie, Terri-Lynn, Kim, Paul and Leo.  His many friends were lifelong.  Raymond enjoyed swimming, floor hockey, bowling and cheering for his favourite wrestler, Hulk Hogan. He approached his artwork with the same meticulous care that he brought to every task. He taught us how to go softly in the world, to take time for each other, to slow down when someone was in need, to remember the gift in birthday candles, turkey wishbones or a Tim’s coffee.   He lived and inspired kindness. Among the things for which we will remember him are his unquenchable thirst for coffee, his love of animals great and small, his tireless party-dancing, his fondness for country music - and for being our irreplaceable Ray. Visitation on Sunday, November 20 at Schreiter-Sandrock Funeral Home, 51 Benton Street, Kitchener from 2–4 and 7–9 p.m. Prayers at 8:30 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Saint Clement RC Church in St. Clements on Monday, November 21 at 11 a.m. Interment will follow in Saint Clement RC Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Elmira District Community Living through the funeral home or to 118 Barnswallow Drive, Elmira, ON N3B 2Y9. Arrangements entrusted to the Futher-Franklin Funeral Home, Wellesley.
